My pc freezes and I have to shut it off manually on the power button

Ok so I installed windows 11 and somehow the issue is now gone which is really strange imo but yea thanks for the help tho guys

Hi so my pc keeps freezing and stops responding while I play games and I dont find any solutions at all and really wish that someone here could help me.
this happens to every game I play sometimes I can play for a couple of hours and other times I cant even launch the game


CPU: Intel Core i7-9700k 3.60GHz

GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB MINI DUAL OC v2

RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR4 3600MHz 2x8GB

MOBO: ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING

PSU: Corsair CV Series 650W

Welcome to the forums!!!

 

Try running a CPU stress test to see if it freezes or possibly crashes there. Also, you may want to run memtest86 just to make sure RAM is good. Anyone overclocks on the system (including XMP)?

Im downloading a cpu stress tester now, and only overclock i have is XMP, but the PC froze without the XMP as well

Have you tried prime95? This will put more stress on the CPU and RAM.

have you tried setting windows power plan to "high performance"?
my machine stopped freezing after i switched to "high performance"
