Need help finding SAS controller

Hello,

Made the mistake of buying 8 SAS drives for a NAS I want to set up but the motherboard doesn't support SAS anybody have any recommendations or links for a x8 SAS controller for PCIe? (Or 2 x4 cards if that makes more sense. This is my first NAS build.

You can get cheaper 9201/9211's but theyre probably remanufacturerd.

LSI is the standard for host bus and raid adapters. You want a 9200-8i or a 9300-8i with the difference being the 9200 is SAS2, and the 9300 is SAS3. You can buy a raid card that is flashed to IT firmware if you're on a budget. SAS2 is plenty fast for hard drive use, SAS3 is a good idea if you plan on using one or more SSDs.
