They gonna make a killing.

they're using their own low-volume t-shirt blanks and custom pins; their cost is way more than $8.

Sure bud, thats how a Tech Company works!

Hey LTT you fire up that loom and start spinning those shirts up once the cotton arrives?

You fire up that single shirt press yet?  Cause thats how you would do it!

How about your CNC pin making machines!

LOL this is hilarious.

being very rude & I doubt they meant it that literally. LTT isn't using cheaply made shirts in sweatshops, so no the cost isn't as low as a 8$ shirt. products can have different quality materials & be sourced from more ethical sources these things will affect the price, I know crazy concept.

That does seem unnecessarily expensive for a shirt and pin (stickers are throw-aways). I get that it's an event but I've never come close to paying that much for a shirt at a rock concert.

but the shirts at concerts are the ones that cost like $4 to make, one of the ltt blanks is sold at $20 bucks, plus the appeal of the pack is that is a special edition celebrating LTX as the pin and stickers are

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600

GPU - Sapphire PULSE RX 6650 XT

PSU - RM 650 black label

RAM - Fury Beast RGB 16GB (2 x 8)

SSD - KC 3000 1TB

G915 TKL (Brown switches)

G502 X Lightspeed

It isn't merch for the majority of the fans but for the whales that throw money at anything with a LMG branding.

The whole pack is worth like 5$.

They would never have had the chutzpah to sell something overpriced like this if people weren't willingly buying every bit of merch trash with a >500% markup for years now.

This is why we can't have nice things 😥

I understand that but that wasn't the point.  I buy concert shirts to support the band but I've never had to pay that much is my point.

But they sold out of their $10,000 packages so who am I to judge?  Obviously they should've set the price higher since there are enough suckers fans to pay it.

the way i understand the whale packages is that the people who bought them felt like this trip was a once in a lifetime thing for them. so they tried to maximize the benefit they would get from the trip by getting the "best" package.

It was mentioned that a few of the Whale packages were purchased by people who had already purchased the Whale package at the original Whale LAN that they had last year. So for some of them, it's not a once in a lifetime thing for them to come out. Some people just have money to blow.
