New iPads using USBC out to HDMI & Aux

Tubsi

Hi all,

I work in a school as an IT Technician and we have some visitors that come in and have recently gotten new ipads that use usb c out. They connect to the projector via HDMI but that wants to carry the audio signal instead of bluetooth. So my questions are;

1. Is there a way to set the audio output at bluetooth instead of HDMI?

2. If I get a USB C hub with HDMI and aux out, will it use the aux?

Many thanks and apolagies if this is the wrong place.

For that issue you would need the users of the ipads to alter their settings, the cable is basically a dumb item and will just do as it is told to do. As far as I am aware the software on the ipad will not automatically recognise what you want it to do so the user will need to instruct the path used for audio via their ipad audio settings.

 If I get a USB C hub with HDMI and aux out, will it use the aux? for that you would need to research the item itself as there could be a variance between one brand and another. if the item being utilised has an onboard chip that takes the signal and does the work for you then Yes it should work. but again check reviews of the said item before committing funds to such a thing.
