Thermaltake TTG Riing Plus not detected (fixed)

I have a Riing Plus Premium controller that I'm trying to connect to my PC over USB as the motherboard does not have a second sys_fan controller (MSI B450M Pro-M2 Max...pro...max...mpro...maxpro2...c'mon, with these names xD). The software won't detect the controller however and the RGB Vomit is simply killing the single-color themes I'm reaching for (see below). Am I missing something or do I need a new controller?

 

Edit: fixed it...just needed to plug the molex connector in properly; one pin of the molex adapter was being pushed out of the back. with that in, the software now detects and I can control the lighting over USB now

I managed to fix it by reseating one of the molex pins on the power connector. It may have had just enough contact to turn on the fans/lights but wouldn’t connect to the software.

 

Thank you though, I will definitely look into replacement adaptors. My front fans aren’t controllable by the software though (they’re connected to sys_fan)…would you happen to know what I would be looking for to link 2 controllers so I could control all of them at the same time?
