hey, idk if im allowed to ask questions in this hub.

anyway i need a help.

my system specs is:

r5 5600g, rx 6500 xt, b450m mortar max, 16gb of ram and a 120mm aio.. the psu cooler master 450w mwe white

is my psu still enough for a b550 or b550m mobo?, like a rog strix b550-f, i wish to get a clear answer.

yes you should just be okay without it going over 

about 321w total

You have a system that consumes probably less than 200 watts.

 

The difference between motherboards is a few watts at best.

 

One observation :

 

If you want to upgrade to a B550 chipset based motherboard to get pci-e 4.0 lanes, be aware that Ryzen 5600G processor only has pci-e 3.0 lanes so the video card will still communicate with the system at pci-e 3.0 speeds.

You won't make the video card run faster, because it would still be limited by the pci-e 3.0 limitation.
