Why do most or all SFF cases don't have tempered glass panels?

Go to solution Solved by Vishera,

It's cheaper to use acrylic or steel side panels, that's why.

And i don't see much demand for SFF RGB builds.

Whenever I watch some cool SFF building videos their cases never have glass panels.

And I mean... these builds are small but I'm certain that you can fit some RGB in there 😂

Are there any cool SFF / Console cases with tempered glass panel?

Not to mention in many SFF builds things are so crammed in, it's not always something you would want to "show off."  Who needs RGB anyways... (Personal opinion)

You could always put RGB behind mesh panels.

The CM NR200P comes with a steel mesh and a tempered glass side panels in the box. You can choose which one to put on your case.

Thermals and cost, you want as much airflow as possible in a cramped environment and adding glass is very expensive if you don't produce a large quantity of cases.

I will find your Laptop thread and I will recommend an ITX build instead

Lian Li Q58 gives you a choice of mesh and tempered glass side panels, you can mix and match. I think in general SFF uses more mesh than tempered glass because airflow is already limited and tempered glass is not very good for airflow.
