Sound devices order win 10

I've looked, and so far unable to find that you can do it. But is there anyway to change the order of sound devices on win 10. I have a bunch of different devices i switch between but would love it if half of  them aren't at the bottom of the list. Ive disabled the ones i don't use but still have too many on the list due to certain softwares like GG creating virtual devices. Is there a way to re order them or am i stuck scrolling down each time i want to change devices?

i feared as much, its such a little thing but it feels like such an oversight that could be fixed with a little bit of effort. thanks

Well it's a very very very niche use case so it's not an oversight. Not that many people will have that many sound devices to completely fill up this menu. I'd say a very minuet fraction of a percentage.

you may be right, but i found a bunch of posts asking the same thing, also thats not the menu that im looking to change. it actually looks like this and only fits 4 in the menu before you need to scroll.

Welp... score one for Windows 11 I guess. Seems to be room for 7 entries.

I have plenty of entries in mine but since I mix everything with Voicemeeter I never need to touch it.
