Ryzen 5 5600 Temperatures

I know there are lots of thread about Ryzen temps especially the 5600 but I just wanna make sure this adds up. I had a ryzen 5 3600 and upgraded to a 5600. In the same case (silverstone sg13 SFF) I gained about 10-20 degrees. I know its a more powerful processor and the wraith stealth isn't as good as the spire I used to have, however is 83 degrees normal for regular gaming? If so will a cooler like the id-50 reduce my temps by that much?

Have you checked to make sure your cooler has sufficient mounting pressure and that you put enough paste down (or not too much, for that matter)? I had a 95c i3-4130 back when I first built a PC because I didn't mount the cooler all the way.

Kubuntu 22.10

Ryzen 7 5700X

RX 6700 XT

A 5600 should not be much warmer than a 3600 with the same cooler. But I'd replace that Wraith Stealth with any tower cooler with a 120mm fan that fits the case.
