No way to know for sure. Wait it out.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I could be just about wrong as I am right.

It very well could be, you never know, as a beta in some stage.. but actual user adoption is another consideration.. it's kind of similar to Should I build a gaming PC or get a cheap laptop and use GeForce Now?

It's a great idea fellows. A cloud bases OS! Just think, now that the users have their heads in the cloud and with the lack of oxygen, will no longer be able to comprehend how shitty the OS actually is and won't complain. Thus allowing Microsoft to lay off even more employees since customer feedback will disappear and they no longer require programmers since the OS doesn't have to change, the money they will save will be able to go to the God of Profit and into their own hands.

Cloud operating system is somewhat of a misnomer unless you're talking about an OS that is 90% web browser like ChomeOS.

The biggest reason Windows still has the market share it has is due to long time compatibility. There are a lot of large entities who use Windows and need to have long term compatibility. One of these large entities is governments. The US Navy used to use Windows XP on warships. Microsoft isnt going to put those contacts in jeopardy, as entities like the US Government shit money.

If Microsoft broke compatibility they will likely loose their market share. Because if you have to now buy or create new software, then you likely might start shopping around for an OS.

I dont see how Microsoft could make an OS cloud based and still maintain the compatibility with all the current software. Also, Cloud means you need internet. What about people who barely have any internet or none at all? They just going to leave that money laying? Im not saying that the cloud wont play a big part in Windows 12, but Windows 12 will be just like all previous version of Windows with cloud integration. Similar to how Windows 10 has One Drive.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
