I was thinking that maybe we could have a unofficial tournament when the dogfighting comes out and maybe record it if possible so we could boost our numbers?

Would be a good start to @Slick gaming channel if that's still going ahead and if we posted it in the rsi forum we might get a few extra members.

Just a passing thought

Bad idea, ill just win.
it would be unfair you know...

Jokes aside (or is it?) im not sure if will effect our numbers really, although its a nice idea, a monthly Tournament would be damn fun! (i´d still win by default)

Sounds like fun.  however i got to see if my comp can run it decently.  I know the hangar module works decently now but the DFM might just be too much for my mediocre graphics card.

Ok bossman.

Maybe pair up with a novice wingman and teach them a few things.

Haha no probs, if you want more info check out the http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/142641-unofficial-uoltt-faq/ but yes the Dogfighting or DFM is a module of starcitizen they are getting released in parts partly for alpha testing and partly because we might explode if they weren't.

I would be willing to put in work to organize it. Let me know. This is a great idea and we could even have themed games (as in ships, ect).

If you want, I think a challenger or ladder system would work well seeing as we would have timezone issues with a monthly "winner" or something

I would say play with teams as we are an organization and want to encourage team play and could also have games with other orgs. But seeing as DFM may not allow that in the first few weeks/months we can start by doing what semphis says and do some training/free for all in the first few games and/or wait for a bit with just organized non-tournament games.
