Allegedly Electronic Arts and Comcast will be working together to stream games to Comcast's X1. Yes, games on a Comcast device brought to you by EA as if there wasn't a more shady group up out there.

Now to be honest, with the huge dream of having video games being streamed to devices through the internet it's not completely surprising but there's still some questions on my mind.

1. Is Comcast really providing fast enough internet to support this?

2. How would this compete with other services out there like sony's up coming game stream service (Gaikai)

3. What kinds of games will we see, will there be any exclusives?

4. DLC DLC DLC

Now keep in mind that this is not 100% confirmed yet and I'm still really curious to the re-actions that people will have towards this. Will it really be as horrible as everyone may expect, or will we see something worth of value? Either way, us Canadians aren't getting a piece of the pie.

Comcast is a county away and is currently offering a deal for 50mbps at 34.99usd for the first 12 months. Want a bigger monster? EA and Time Warner cable. Now that is unholy levels of shady business.

Actually, over here 50mbp/s for $34.99 doesn't sound that bad to me but that's because we have horrible deals over here. Though I'm pretty sure of 2 things.

1. Your not actually going to get that speed all the time (throttling)

2. After 12 months that price will really rack up.

I'm stick with Time Warner and I pay that much for 15mbps - I hate this ISP a lot.

1) Comcast was actually called out on that illegal practice forever ago and were ordered to stop throttling.

2) You can keep the service or go to an alternative . But not back to cable..the lack of competition in the states is disgusting.

I forget the city name, but there is a city in the US that effectively gave major ISPs the finger and installed locally funded fiber and they have a nice connection for a nice price, way cheaper than Google. Shame more local officials don't care about their community and are content with being bribed by large corporations.

There's no competition in the parts of America that matter. In my city there's three local ISP's that compete all the time and are a million times better than any ISP I've ever used

I STILL WANT GOOGLE FIBER

I once was a poor man, but then I found a crown.

Know what sucks? I live within the top 10 of the largest cities in the country and home to one of the largest airports in the world. You'd think with those credentials, broadband would be a priority. Nope. Dallas is too busy worshiping a football team that hasn't been good since the 90's.
