Quick Video Trim programs?

I record a lot of footage in mkv. Problem that I am seeing right now is that a lot of footage, and with so much footage requires a lot of storage.

For majority of the videos, they can have minutes or HOURS blank or unusable video.

Window's included trimmer with the "Movies & TV" app is VERY slow, it barely even allocates anything, neither CPU, GPU, etc.

Anyone have a program in mind that would help me Trim these mkv files?

I'm in Linux, but these have Windows versions:

Avidemux - is typically what I use for just quick trimming of files.

Openshot - Anything that actually needs basic editing work, most of the time I'll use Openshot. I'd say it's not quite as advanced as DaVinci Resolve but, it's much more user friendly. Then again, I'm definitely no expert.

Shutter encoder, its quick, it even can cut without re-encoding (even quicker)

avidemux is great, even though it could be more user friendly (i always get confused as for what containers etc im supposed to use)

it also seems quite buggy on windows,  often, especially cutting it seems to just crash... i also dont think you can cut several things at once (in one video)?

and then you need to re-encode... not ideal. cant get it to use GPU to render either.

But i guess if it works for what you want its great, i usually use it for cropping (for whatever reason i prefer how it's done in avidemux)

openshot... havent tried that yet i think.

You can cut multiple times. I always make a cut, make another cut, etc, then encode when done. Unless you meant select multiple sections at a time, never tried that.
