Why do you guys hate on it? How does it compare to evo? And the hyperx?

Nobody ever specified that they hate it. There are just better budget options on the market.

It's sandforce based, so it's bound to have issues at some point. There are far better and cheaper options available.

HyperX 3k should be considered as obsolite at this point.

It's pretty much the same drive (same controller) but has higher endurance flash. I don't think they are selling it anymore..

 

If you're that crazy about the case, just buy the case (from a dead one or something) and install a proper ssd (like m500 or evo) inside. Although i really dont see the point, since you're not looking at it anyway.
