Best software for cloning boot drive to new drive (NVME)

CallumOKane

I am upgrading my Crucial P2 CT1000P2SSD8 to a Samsung 980 PRO, I plan on moving my boot drive to the 980 pro, and use the crucial drive for my steam library and some other stuff.

I want to safely copy over everything from one to the other, without risking any data loss or corruption!

What software would anyone recommend to be good for this?

I've used Macrium Reflect for years and it's been good.

They can clone your OS while booted into Windows and automatically resize your main partition to fit different size drives.

I believe that samsung's samsung magician comes with a SSD clone-r tool.
(They call the option data migration iirc)

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you confirm this can be done while using the source drive booted into windows?

They can clone your OS while booted into Windows which is a big perk.

Thanks for the suggestion, a big plus that it can be used while booted into the OS, will definitely consider this

Yup, i have used it in the past to go form a 860 qvo to 970evo plus.

Even though they were both samsung drives and you have a curicial one I don't think it should matter
