Yup I bought one.

Thanks a million for those links! I got one too for $50 CAD at a local Talize (chain of thrift stores here in Ontario). They had another one with the Deeq branding, and a dent on the cover, for $65. My one has absolutely no branding on it, and the condition is immaculate. Who knows why they priced it that way. I guess the stranger question is who would donate two of these completely functional, almost identical laptops to a thrift store? But I don't even want to go there, my head will explode if I ponder that too long. I saw the Deeq branding when it was in the glass case, and I was like "Wait a minute... isn't that the crazy laptop with a mechanical keyboard from LTT?" and at that moment I knew it had to be mine.

It even has a screen protector-like material still applied to both the top and bottom, which was weird, but ok. My one came with 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB Silicon Power SATA m.2 SSD, so even if I use it just as a parts machine, it's worth the $50.

Unfortunately, it didn't come with the power adapter. Could you let me know the polarity of the adapter, and the voltage? The Aliexpress description says 12V, but the battery says 7.6V nominal and 8.7V maximum. I don't know if there is a buck converter inside that is changing the voltage down from 12V though, so getting confirmation from someone else with this laptop would be helpful. I did confirm it turns on, but the battery died within an hour of turning it on, so I couldn't do much with it.

The build quality is frankly, incredible. Leagues above most other products in this price category, and yes, the mechanical keyboard is legit. Worth the asking price alone, IMHO. I will definitely toss the built-in Windows installation, and put on my own. And that screen... man that screen is gooood. These Celerons are not junk, and the 5105 is a pretty good one in this price range. TechTablets reviews a lot of these devices using similar processors, especially from competing brands like Chuwi and Teclast, and I have yet to see him review one that is this high quality in terms of build.

DC 12V and get a at least 2.5A . Inner postive outer negtive. 1.35mm DC jack

If it is really hard to find the adapter, try those USB-C (PD) to DC wire, make sure it is 12V 1.35mm jack.

That is a deal breaker for me unless I can figure out some way to adapt to USBC PD

BTW, I totally forget that get a USB-C to DC wire to use USBC PD adapter could make it USBC PD-ish.

Serial IO, I2C and I2S device is hard to install due to not really plug and play,  so windows would never able to automatically detect them, unless you provide a driver inf for them to notify windows about it.

hey there, thanks for sharing these links but unfortunately they are dead.... could you re-upload the links I really would like to have a backup for these drivers. Thnaks again!

For the laptop owner, you can dump current laptop driver with follwing power shell script:

1.Open a Power Shell as Administrator:

2."Export-WindowsDriver -Online -Destination d:\drivers" (d:\drivers as example, you can export to wherever suit you)

3.rename the folder to driver

4.download the cmd file and put to the one level above your driver folder (example your backup @ d:\driver then put the command file to d:\)

5.archive everything.

Next time for installation, just run Install.cmd. it will trying to update all driver with your backup.

Install.cmd

Happy 2024, after a year using this laptop as thin client for remote access, the DC jack finally gave in and break apart. So I just grab some 12V PD-DC trigger module and my rework station to replace the DC jack for a extra type-c port. finally this laptop have Type-C PD in.

(I bought the trigger module on taobao, but there were planty on aliexpress as well https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805303324223.html?src=google&aff_fcid=2d30b5ce452045dea41ab05d96ac42f3-1704213969320-00352-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=2d30b5ce452045dea41ab05d96ac42f3-1704213969320-00352-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=cdd81fc94e2b4ab78e9b16873e722e09&afSmartRedirect=y&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa )

I know it is ugly AF (I could/should rework the interface a little bit) But I just too lazy to deal with it.
