Why is my benchmark score so much lower than the average? My cpu score is fine but gpu score is quite low. 

The only thing that i can think of is that im running at pcie 3. Other than that im not sure, i have overclocks on the cpu gpu and ram, all are stable.

 

 

 

I have a Power Color Hellhound rx 6600 and a Ryzen 5 5600g with 16gb of ddr4 memory at 3600mhz and C18.

Yup, im on the latest motherboard bios and gpu bios. Same for drivers. Just installed the gpu a few hours ago into my system.

temps don't peak over 89C when benching? don't have a bunch of background programs running? (not even chrome!) 
also, average score in benchmarks are slightly inflated due to  people running benchmarks with fresh installs of windows with no background programs. IMO

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

temps barely even exceed 60 degrees, nothing open either.

Untrue
CPU Was untouched throughout the entire troubleshoot.


I ran the exact same gpu clocks on both softwares. MSI for some reason gave me that huge performance gain.
