Hi everyone

I have an external room/building in my home that's about 5 meters from our main building. I tried extending an Ethernet cable to it but due to building constraints i can't do that.

What i have now: a long range router next to our main hub connecting to a range extender in the outside room, it kind of works but it can be glitchy and disconnects at times

Since i can't get physical wiring do you think another solution might work (maybe power line?) or do you think the wireless solution is best for my situation?

Thanks in advance for any feedback

How about putting some conduit underground and running a cable though that?
Thanks for the quick reply I'm not sure about this but i think our wiring problem is that there is a problem with getting it from the main station in the house to the location. Piping problem underground.

There is a pipe to connect wires from the main box to this external room however this pipe was made so that it won't fit anymore wires (no future thinking) :( the pipe is blocked therefore removing a lot of options of connecting an Ethernet cable. Thanks

I would not be surprised if Powerline did NOT work.

If you somehow can test it out without paying (like if a store has a X days trial period) then you could try it. Otherwise I think it's probably safer to go with wireless.

PowerLine can be pretty picky when it comes to how the wires are routed.
