Hahaha, no, if he has the funds for a 780ti then he has the money to upgrade to a recent processor. Just get a 290 or 770 and upgrade to a 4670. The ti makes no sense in price/performance, and really should only be purchased if there's nothing else in your build that needs the money.

As Nosirrah says, don't bother with the 780ti get either a 290 or 770.

You're probably running a 1920x1080p monitor, aren't you?
