PC Won't Turn On From Power Button

let's start with my specs Real Quick :
i5 2500k
8gb DDR3 1600mhz
Mobo : Foxconn 2abf
PSU : Advance MPT 5002 (500W)(Non Modular)
the pc was working Okey till yesterday i came to turn on the pc on from power button and nothing happened ( no power at all)


WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
1) I have tried to take the motherboard and everything out of the case

2) Tested PSU with a paper clip and it's running without any issue

3) Took the CMOS battery and everything and tested and still having same issue


WHAT I HAVE NOTICED MAY BE THE PROBLEM
4) I have Unplugged the 24 Pin from the motherboard and kept ONLY the 4pin 12v connected to the motherboard and tried to turn on the psu with a paper clip and then the surprise happened

it turned on ( MOBO only out of pc case, cpu fan spinning and psu , and it didn't shutdown or stopped suddenly until i took the paper clip of the 24 pin)

i have tried to power from the power sw pîns with a metal pen but not working either


what can the problem be ?

Yes , i have mentioned that i have Tried To Power On with the 24 pin plugged but nothing happened , tried shacking and wiggle but nothing happened too, 

Then i have unplugged the 24 Pin and Kept the eps 4 pin 12v connected to the motherboard and used a paper clip to turn on the psu from the 24 pin , and then everything started spinning cpu fan and psu fan even the pc case got light on but when plugging the 24 pin nothing happens 

 

 

Note: Be advised i started facing some random shutdowns before this happened like 2 days ago , the pc just loses power then restarts again 

 

what can the problem be ?

If the PSU turns on correctly by bridging the power on pin with ground

Then there is a discontinuity somewhere in the motherboard power switch pin trace, or there is a short circuit somewhere on the motherboard that the PSU is detecting.

 

So you are looking at a PSU or motherboard issue. Test the motherboard with another PSU.

get a better psu and try with that, worst case scenario is that it will nto work, but atleast you have a decent psu to go with.

I will Try with a new PSU and give you an update , But you have said that it's motherboard , if it's a mobo issue why the cpu fan will turn on and work normally not full speed not loud but 100% normally until i take off the paper clip from psu do you suspect the psu ?  

 

as i have mentioned before i kept the eps 4pin12v connected only to the mobo and unplugged the 24pin

 

 

I) 24pin plugged + 4pin 12v plugged = no power at all from Power SW Pins on the mobo and from pc case nothing works

 

II) 4 pin 12v only plugged + (24pin unplugged) = power on and cpu fan spin and psu and even pc case is on

Can You Check The Above Reply , i guess you didn't get a notification , because the forum was down to maintenance when i replied

Again, test with actual decent psu first. otherwise its a motherboard issue, but i highly doupt it
