Hey everyone,

I have a co-worker we all go standing desks and got vesa mounts, he currently has 27" monitors but the arm. I am trying to find the thinnest lightest monitor out there, currently he has some asus (not sure the actual monitor)  just looking for a super light option that maybe will stop the standing desk attachemnt from bouncing so bad. he will need 2x of these monitors

Even the lighest screen will cause wobble. Thats why there are different arms with 2 attachement points for standing desks that ditribute load to reduce wobble.

Other than having a strong solid desk and a anti wobble monitor arm there is very little to do about this as its basically you against physics and physics will win regardless.

Lighter monitors may help to reduce some wobble by having less momentum, but eliminating the wobble is unfortunately not going to be possible with a standing desk and monitor arm setup.  Standing desks tend to wobble more than regular desks due to the moving parts (of adjustable models anyway) and often 2-leg designs, and monitor arms will also have some wobble due to having weight placed on the end of a flexible arm.  Some desks and arms are of course more stable than others, so if the wobble is a big problem, the best bet would be to get a standing desk with a more heavy-duty design, a stronger monitor arm, or both.  There will still be some wobble even with the top end stuff though, and I can't even tell you how often we've had our desks and monitor arms from all different price points returned because they weren't as stable as bricks.
