Hello,

I noticed 4090's are sold out at most places.  Could there be power plug fixes/upgrades coming?  Refresh?   Ti ?   Are these worth buying now? Wait to see what happens after new AMD comes out?

doesnt look like amd will change the positioning of the 4090, which should have been 1999, it's always been worth buying if you can find one, unless you are adamant about the plug

It's likely a few diffrent reasons rolled into one,  some of which are probably beyond our understanding .

Personally I'm thinking about AMD for my next card when my computer needs to be replaced. AMD seems to be going for a work smart or not harder approach, they're trying to intelegently design things to be more efficient, whereas Nvidia seems to just be pushing more and more power into the cards. I think Nvidias approach is pretty stupid and although it gets you a very powerful graphics card that graphics card uses way too much electricity. From what seems to be on the horizon it looks like the AMD cards will come out a little bit shorter than their Nvidia counterparts in performance but the significantly lower power draw for me is more appealing.

Where are you getting all these power draw numbers? I didn’t think any 7900 reviews where out.

the official announcement stated very high performance per watt (specific numbers were provided, something like 54% better than RDNA2), indicating a low comparative power draw since it’s expected to fall slightly short of the 4090
