How Much of Your GPU Does Your Monitor Use?

LiquidGamerOOO7

Is there a difference in your GPU running a 21:9 ultrawide 1440p 165Hrz monitor versus running 16:9 1440p 165Hrz monitor???

How much of your GPU is utilized by the monitor?

For your situation: no

If you were to go from a 1080p 60Hz panel to a 1440p 165Hz panel then yes, or a multimonitor setup. The clock speed and/or memory speed will usually be higher so temperatures will rise a little, but nothing that impacts performane much (maybe 30MHz to 150MHz).

For simple desktop use? Virtually no difference.

For gaming, 3440x1440 vs 2560x1440 is roughly 34% more pixels, so you'll get less performance.
