Thunderbolt 3 & 4 Cables

Hello,

 

I am currently in the process of gathering parts for a rack mount PC build, and my motherboard will have support for Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4.

 

I noticed that no optical Thunderbolt 4 cables exist yes, but TB 3 and TB 4 are both the same speed. Will optical TB 3 cables still work the same for TB 4?

 

I don't see why not since the protocol hasn't changed, but I figured I'd ask before dropping a ton of money on an expensive cable.
