Looking at LTT back then - It was very different, LTT covered stuff that they don't cover anymore, such as unboxing and overview of cases, motherboards, RAM

and they also did interviews.

This.

I had watched vids from LTT from pretty early on, but only when I really searched for something.

One day I saw Scrapyard Wars and I really enjoyed the interactions etc and decided to watch them all and got me more interested in the channel.

It's a shame they don't want to do more, I understand it's harder to make it interesting, but I'm sure they could make it interesting. Yeah Linus and Luke are very known, but they could use fairly new/unknown LMG members as their partners to pick stuff up and all that.

If they did a Scrapyard Wars, they'd have to do it in secret, and with proxies purchasing. By publicly denouncing any future ones, it does leave the ability to secretly do something.

Perhaps traveling to a random city, whether US or Canada under the guise of another video or event. And then having a framework or theme that changes it up slightly. It could definitely be interesting.

But their disinterest seems genuine, so I'm not sure the appetite is there, even if they could arrange it.

What discussions?

Didn't LTT start at 2009?

yeah, but Linus was a young computer nerd the same time I was, so the stories from that era are the best.

I guess the language should be of the early 2000s era not from.

Do you mean late 2000s - early 2010s?

Nope, early 2000s.  I didn't have a PC when Quake 3 came out, but I got one in 2001 and I played Return to Castle  Wolfenstein on a Athlon XP.
