Won't boot with XMP Profile

Hero_Slayer

Hello
Just finished my first build and and just remembered that I need to enable XMP.
But from two presented profiles it won't boot.
Already updated BIOS to latest.

Specs:
CPU: i5-12600k
MB: GYGABYTE z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4
RAM: Kingston Fury DDR4-4800 2x8GB

Did you check the Memory Support List before buying..? 😛

It's always worth double checking before buying instead of just checking DDR4/5 and the highest clockspeed, always check the individual vendor.

Il send you a link for that motherboard you said your using, double check that I got it right, then look at the "box" you got the RAM in, and look at the Module/PN number-code you-get -the-point... and see if you can find them in the list..

BUT, lets say you cant find them in the Memory Support List, they could (may I dare say should) still work, depending on if the manufacture have other models of ram for that motherboard, basically, I think I had done about 2-4 PC build's before I learned about THIS, I just did a very basic ram check then bought what I wanted so to say, but this was 15y+ ago, things change.. and wat usually changes with PC's+time = complexity.... 😛

Cheers//

I think you should be able to set the frequency manually. In my UEFI/BIOS I have XMP disabled, and underneath that I have set the frequency.

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.
