Figured out my random lag problem

So I made a post sometime ago about random lag in games i play. Games that normally otherwise would run great, i have the system specs to cover them and everything. Someone mentioned that I should clean install a previous nvidia driver. im starting to realize that it could be my Linksys wireless router.

 

Any suggestions

Have you tried connecting to it using an ethernet cable rather than wireless?

Well I moved from my brothers house (wireless) to my dads house (wired) and things ran great on both. I remember playing battlefield 3 at my brothers house wirelessly with no problem. Then I move back to my brothers house use wireless again and boom....lag.

You could try reset the router to stock settings and set it up again.  And try connecting via ethernet, it may not be your router but your wireless card. 

I dont have a wireless card built in, instead i have a small linksys box that i plug into my usb drive and it connects me to the linksys box downstairs.

might be worth moving closer to the linksys box or getting a long ethernet cable.

nope powerline kit would be better option

It's like the wireless freedom of wifi and the always on connection of ethernet

absolutely brilliant can highly recommend them.
