I recently watched a video about making a pc case from bristle board - link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJveIh78y-w

So a couple of questions

1 - is this safe?
2 - would it be fine to create a psu shroud for another case with bristle board?
3 - could I use bristle board to make mobo armour or a gpu backplate for cheap?

Safe?  Probably fairly safe.  PCs are a lot more static resistant than you'd think.

PSU Shroud?  Sure, why not.  That's not a terribly huge deal, and wouldnt be a problem.

GPU Backplate or Mobo Armor?  I'd say 'fuck no'.  It's extruded foam inside, it's gonna be really good insulation, and it's also not terribly strong.  I would NOT do that.

Bristol board is just thick paper, foam core is what you are thinking of. But I agree, bad idea. I'd use acrylic instead if I was set on it. (but I wouldn't do it regardless, temps trump aesthetics.)
