CPU 100%

Hello, 

My brother got pretty good system for him, but he also got a problem.

In games his processor came up to 100% ussage and idk why. He plays on lowest details but should be cappable of max settings in some games. When game is running, the cpu ussage is on 100% and gpu just on 50 to 60% so its a clear bottlenek but idk what can be the problem. No other apps open etc. Temp seems good. Sorry for my english and thanks for any kind of help.

Spec.

CPU: intel core i5 - 9400F

GPU: gtx 1660 super

RAM: 16Gb

Win. 11

correct me if I'm wrong, but when you go lower resolution and low quality settings, doesn't that use the CPU more than the gpu?

Is performance not satisfactory or are you just concerned about the usage?

Yeah you right but i just want to say that he must playing on lowest settings because performance is crap. For example when he play gta 5, to reach playeable performance he need to play on mid or low settings, problem is that with this pc he should play at crank up settings just fine

Can you get us more data, benchmarks, clocks, temps ect. If it were thermal throttling for example, it would show 100% usage even if it were limited to something stupid like 2ghz

ok so pick a game like gta , download msi afterburner,  turn on the overlay and check cpu usage on each core, cpu frequency  same for gpu usage,  temps for cpu and gpu, fan speeds if possible,  and also ram and vram.

 

something seems definitely off but we need more info (im guessing)
