Curious About my 6800 XT OC

So I'm new to team red, and I was able to snag a PowerColor 6800 XT Red Dragon off Amazon for $550 USD. My question is; Is this level of overclock normal for Radeon, or did I get lucky? I never had that much improvement with my Nvidia cards.

Yeah, that's pretty common for RDNA2 cards, they actually have a fair bit of OC headroom left on the table. The memory slider always ends up maxed out, and the max frequency slider is set too low on everything but the 6950 XT and some select 6900 XTs (at least in the context of subambient cooling, at stock cooling they're barely good enough). 

 

For the most parts, these cards are power limited in benchmarks. You can get a bit more performance if you unlock the power limits as well with something like MPT, getting even more performance out of these cards, though it turns it from a ~300W card to a 400W GPU, so if you don't want the extra power draw sticking to the stock power limits is a good idea.
