Would've suggested to look for second-hand phones (some might sell maybe 1 - 2 year old higher-end phones for cheap), but assuming you don't know much about phones, and the fact that you can seemingly get Moto G for 100£, I'll suggest the Moto G instead.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

That phone is horrible, hardware wise it is not bad but the software its horrible and it lags like crazy.

Only cheap smartphones i'd recommend are the moto g and lumia 520/525, no lag and the latest stock software.

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm,
Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

I have experience with 3 of them (all of them bought at different times, running different firmware) and they all run perfectly fine. Unless you multitask like crazy there's no lag at all. No app drawer (Emotion UI) takes some time to get use to though :P
