Affordable Z790 Mid-Range Motherboards?

kevinj93

Budget (including currency): ~550 euros

Country: Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details:

CPU: Intel Core i7 13700k (not ordered yet)

RAM: G SKILL Trident Z DDR5 6400 CL32 (not ordered yet)

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC (already have it)

I'm looking for a mid range motherboard for up to 550 euros that would be enough for a mild overclocking, with at least 2.5Gbps LAN. Any good motherboards for the price? (preferably Asus/Gigabyte mobos)

I thought some pages said Z690 gets worse performance with Raptor Lake than Z790.

Dunno if it's true though.

Will there be any performance differences with either chipset?

Not really, except for more PCIe4 lanes and better RAM XMP speed and stability on DDR5 setups from what I've read/watched
