I found this windows tool that should help windows performance but i dont know if its safe to use so im asking if anyone have try or use it on is it safe?

No.  There are no magic bullets or unicorn software to make Windows rock harder.

Leave that alone.  If you need more speed, open the wallet for hardware upgrades or a new rig.

I see 5 google results for "windowspowertool.com". The site was made 4 months ago so it's extremely new.

It says the source code is available but our corproate zscaler has it flagged as malicious

Yes and no. A clean install will do wonders for things that aren't gaming.

Right, that just resets Windows to it's normal 100% awesomeness.  It doesn't make Windows faster, as per the generally accepted definition of magic bullet 🙂

What Windows Powertool in a layer added to the various Windows settings controls to make it "easier".

The only useful tool that I see is the Bulk Renamer utility, which gives you greater control on not only completely renaming a list of files, but allows you to remove/rename only part of the file, so if you have Adam.this is my file.mpg, Baker.this is my file.mpg

Your result will be Able.mpg Baker.mpg and not Microsoft's results of Adam(1).mpg,  Adam(2).mpg.,etc.

Now, if all you want to do is get rid of a lot of MS's crapware lke Cortana, Edge, IE, Xbox, Xbox Gamebar and any of the other crapware that MS inflicts on their customers, it can be done with a little work through the  command line.

First. if you're wanting to remove Edge, you'll need to download another browser, I prefer Firefox, but any one will work.

Then in the searchbar, simply enter how do i remove <program name> from windows <version>

None of these can be deleted using the Windows remove tool because they're considered "essential" , they aren't and my computer has had no problems without them simply taking up space on my drive.

G'Day Di,
Yes there is a 'Magic Bullet'.
The people here aren't very resourceful or helpful. (Probably kids)
Download and run TRON.
Get it from a respected source like Major Geeks or GitHub.

https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/tron.html

Follow ALL instructions and it will remove and clean a lot of stuff.
It took 27 hours to clean my PC the last time I used it. 12TB HDD's

Stage 1 - Process Killer

Stage 2 - Temporary file Remover

Stage 3 - De-Bloater

Stage 4 - Disinfector (Malware, Spyware, Viruses, etc)

Stage 5 - Repairer

Stage 6 - Patcher
Stage 7 - Optimiser

Stage 8 - Settings Optimiser
You can also use Command Line variables, like 'a' Auto mode. 'str' Skip Telemetry Removal.

I personally just click the run file and leave it. It reboots when it needs to, and shuts down when it's done.
Best to run it overnight.

WindowsPowertool may end up being widely used. But I would wait until it's tested and appears on Major Geeks.

I hope this helps keep your PC running in tip top condition.
Cheers
Mik

Yeah, been running Windows since 3.1 (and DOS before that), modifying autexec.bat and config.sys files for each damn game I wanted to play.

No magic bullet.  All your TRON shit can do is bring Windows to it's fresh install state, nothing more.

You probably installed a chip in your car to get 100 more HP too I wager 🙂

Hate to tell you this, but you're being a jerk! You apparently have the skills to modify files, tweak the registry... whatever. But not everybody has those skills. If they find a program that makes the process simpler for them, and achieves the desired results that they are looking for... how does that make them a "troll"?

You're right... there is no such thing as a real "magic bullet"... that's just a phrase. But the truth is, if "TRON", or any other program is capable of safely removing bloat, trimming down processes and speeding up an existing version of Windows, either back to it's "fresh install state" or close, it will cause the system to run faster! That's just plain common sense.

No, it's not a "magic bullet", but to some people it may very well seem like one. Just because you don't support it doesn't mean no one should support it!

"No, it's not a "magic bullet", but to some people it may very well seem like one."

Exactly  Snake oil is snake oil.. So you're trying to prey upon people that don't know better.  Nothing more than a hustle.

Did I mention tweaking the registry?  No, I mentioned things  we HAD TO DO before you were born, to get Windows to do what we wanted.   I said this so you understand my experience level with Windows, not to say I am a wizard.

There is no magic bullet, not super run fast tool, or anything like that.
