display What's the perfect 1440P curved monitor?

My brother is looking for a new monitor and he wants it to be curved, in my mind the ideal monitor for him would be a 1440P 100hz+ 16:9 monitor with FreeSync or similar technology. But there's so many choices out there, does anyone have any recommendations?
The goal is for it to be around 30 inches, he's got limited desk space. 

Note of focus points:
Resolution:    1440P
Refresh rate: 100Hz+
Aspect ratio:  16:9
Screen size:   30~ inches diagonal
Technology:   Variable refresh rate

They come in 27" or 32". So if 32" is too big, then it's 27".

Budget is an important aspect. Should probably add that as well.

I'm not really looking for bleeding edge technology, just the notes I mentioned above, hopefully the price won't be too wild. and I suppose 32 inches would be better than.

"Too wild" is not a metric. You need to give a price range.

Just got an answer from my brother. Apparently max $400 Canadian which is not great, but there's a price I suppose.

I have been using the Gigabyte G32QC for about 4 years now, it is a 32" curved 1440p VA, 165Hz Freesync, G-Sync compatible. Using it with a RTX3080 with out issues.

When I bought it the price £340, I beleive it is around £50 -£60 cheaper now and has an updated model available. Techtesters gave a very good review of this monitor and I agree with their findings, a very good display.

The samsung g5 is 320usd but they hide their specs, according to rtings, it has a 89% srgb coverage which is really bad

Samsung Odyssey series lower than G7 is bad. This G5 from review had bad black smearing issue and not like others G7 and above. I suggest don't get this model even though it is in budget range.

You are asking for 16:9 monitor and this aspect ratio is actually better in Flat than curve. Curve is better for 21:9 or 32:9 aspect ratio. 

 

Beside this, for 1440p, it is better maintained at 27" (16:9), 34" (21:9) or 49" (32:9) to maintained the text clarity. The clarity is not that good for 32" (16:9).

I've sent my brother all the displays mentioned here, I suppose whichever he chooses is what I'll mark as the solution, although it looks like he was not expecting the prices of displays, so it might take a while for the choice. I'll send updates as I know more.
