are you alt-tabbing to check the clock speed? if so the clock drops while the GPU isn't under load and you won't catch it if you're PC is slow back to the desktop. Downloads GPU-Z and set the core clock monitor to record the highest core clock and play a game. That will tell you what clock the GPU runs at while gaming.

Wow this is odd. It's not dependent on a 6 pin power is it that you haven't plugged in? I'd shoot an email to MSI tech see what they say. Sounds like an RMA. You didn't get a read on temps by any chance?

I fixed the clock speed problem but something is holding the GPU back it still stay under 30 degreeds celsius does anybody know what causes this thx in advance.

Did you uninstall old drivers?

Its not actually my PC its for my little brother Its his birthday in a few days And I want to give him a suprise.

Oh shit... I don't know anything about Nvidia but it seems like maybe you accidentally changed the max temp. for GPU boost. You should change the max temp to 80C.

Nice picture btw....

Tell your little bro that you got him a present but it was broken so you had to get a replacement, but make sure he knows that it will be coming soon!

Use a benchmark to compare the performance results to a similar system (there are many on the internet). Unigine Valley would be good point to start.

30°C also doesn't sound too far off, if your ambient temp is low and the fan curve is relativeley agressive.

The Gigabyte 750 Ti of a friend of mine runs 45 °C out of the box. But 30 is definiteley a bit fishy. RMAing it would be the best but last option. I'd do that performance comparison but maybe RMA it anyways or ask MSI.

If his b-day is coming up too soon, then that's unfortunate, but in the end, it's better to have a well working PC.

who cares...

It's throttling after 30C like AMD cards do at 95C. That is very far off.
