Greetings everyone,

Recently I've been tasked with creating a streaming service for our workplace.

I went a bit around the internet and I found out a few pages about creating an RTMP server, I've been able to follow them and creating the RTMP server, viewing the stream with VLC.

The problems is that I've never found a way to view the stream into a web page.

We already have a website running on another server and we would like to embed the stream into that page, but with no luck.

I've also followed a few guides talking about something called HLS, but I've also had no luck in making it work.

How could I achieve this thing?

My knowledge in this field are very limited, the only thing I've been able to do so far is creating the RTMP server and viewing it from VLC.

I have a VPS server where it's supposed to be hosted.

Thanks in advance for helping me.

you need some sort of video player to embed, i assume this may do the trick:

Sadly we dont have accesso to the website server, I can only upload the files via FTP.

The only one I have accesso to is the VPS that will host the streaming server, but the website where we want to embed it is hosted on another one.

Also, I see that the one you linked says RTSP, while the one I'm using is RTMP.
Is that something else I can look into?
Thanks.
