Posted October 19, 2022 While doing a thorough inspection of the cables I noticed the audio cable came protective rubber came punctured and scratched. Didn’t notice any shiny reflection of copper or aluminum while pointing a flash, but still I not sure if it exposed the cable itself. I would like to know if it’s safe to leave it like this because it I don’t want to put any sort of electrical tape on it (it turns gooey after a while) Here are some photos:
 Posted October 19, 2022 I just see a minor mark in the photos, no real damage to be concerned about. Remember the black is just an outer sleeve. All the wires in that sleeve are individually insulated as well. So even if you removed the outer black insulation the wires are still insulated and protected. Posted October 19, 2022 Pull the jacket back and look inside to see if the conductors are exposed. If the internal wires still have their jackets, you should be fine to keep using it. It's low voltage anyway, it could barely hurt a fly.
