Long story short I had a RAID 1 setup on 2 2tb WD blue hard drives for photos, never ended up using them for that and used it for video games, after a few years they filled up and since our internet is so slow 80gb can take a whole week to download so deleting anything comes with a large cost,

I had read that removing the raid had the possibility to lose data but not a large one so I did it and now everything's gone.

I'm starting to think that now i did the raid through windows disk management a few years ago but I undid it through my Motherboard BIOS (MSI) and that is likely part of the problem.

If anyone knows a way I could possibly recover the data it would be greatly appreciated

What do the drives show up as in windows currently? Do they have a known partition on them?

Did you do anything to the drives since removing them from the raid?

they had no partitions so I made one on one of the drives and it had no data

So for the drive you formatted it just shows up as a black line in disk management?

If the data is important Id send it off to data recovery.

Otherwise I'd start trying the data recovery tools on the hard drive.
