Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my 1660 Super that just isn't quite keeping up any more at 1440p a few games I need to cap at 60fps to stop frame drips and get a steady gameplay, now I'm always for new things and for price the A770 look new and cool.

It would be paired with a I5-8600k (Slight overclock) and 32gb Ram at 3200mhz.

My main games as of the moment are World of Warships, BF2042 and CS:GO. I know even the 3060 isn't a 1440p card but neither was a 1660 and has done be a solid job for 3 years! My edge towards Intel is well it's new and I like new things and price wise I can see about £50 less or so. Would throwing in a RX 6650XT or RX6600 help. I'm not one for mad detail I play on a G5 Odyssey so 144hz 1440p No HDR.

I've never been anything other than Nvidia had a 1050ti (Who didn't!) and then 1660 Super.

Peoples feelings and recommendations are always welcome! Based in UK so for pricing and model sake.

Ow okay then....

The 6600XT/6600 is better value new, let alone the used cards from miners going for significantly less. There are no used A770s. A used 6600XT for $250 will shred the A770 in literally every category except raytracing. Which isn't really a concern at this price-point and resolution.

Don't buy Intel's graphics cards if you play CS:GO, the performance is horrendous due to the card not natively supporting DirectX9 and emulating it. Your 1660 Super would perform better.

At this price range get the 3060 or 6600/6650/XT.

It is flabbergasting to me how many people are coming out of the woodwork interested in being guinea pigs for the first generation of Intel's cards while ignoring AMD's cards at this price point that perform as well or better and are mature.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I cannot fathom how there is interest in these cards after watching even a single review, did they not stay for the conclusion? RX6600XT all day.

Some people like me don't mind being the guinepigs, for work I get a lot of pre release stuff to test and use so it's always cool to me to try new things and be a first.

Ow okay then....
