Pretty much any AAA games for the next 5 years would run nicely, probably by year 4 or 5 you'd want to step down to high-med settings. I'd add a HDD for high capacity storage, or a change to 2tb SSD.

If you want Nvidia GPU, performance would be less for the same amount of money, or same performance for a lot more money.

Budget (including currency): $2000-2500 USD dollars

Country: United states

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: intense games, web browsing, Movies.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YNsHrD  I want a nice future proof gaming and web browsing pc that never slows down.

I read a book on the most important components(Cpu and memory) and searched on amazon to see what graphics processing units are used in quality builds.

While he's not wrong, for gaming there are a few more or as important parts as those.

Yes, if everything is running as it should, your PC will be able to handle any game you throw at it. I have a weaker PC than the list and everything runs awesome, no game is too demanding.

Just be realistic that games develop over time, new games in the future would be more demanding than they are now, so the newer games' performance would not be as great as they are now.

Top of the line PCs usually last 2 generations of new hardware, by lasting I mean would still be great to use for at least 4 years or so. The top of line PC from 6 years ago still runs great now, so that should give you an idea.

If you run into any issue while building or after build, please ask the forum so the community could help you.
