4k FireTV or other 4k TV options

I've recently been looking at some TVs to possibly replace my living room TV. I'm looking at the new 4k FireTV that's available for preorder. It's 4k QLED with Dolby Vision IQ and local dimming. It's priced at $799 USD. This TV would mainly be for TV/Movies. At most, I would play some older ps4 games on it as I primarily game on my PC. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to home theater TVs, so I was hoping to hear if anyone has experience with FireTVs or if there are other comparable competitors I should be looking at. I'm a little worried about purchasing an amazon TV over a name brand like Sony, Samsung, or LG, but I'm tempted by the price.
