Hardrive event reset?

That wouldn’t mean the event didn’t happen.  You’re assuming it’s a meaningless thing.  Perhaps it is, perhaps it’s not.  Maybe look to see what the event actually was.  Unless of course this was already done and you know it was a false alarm.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

It wasn't a false alarm I'm trying to install windows on my new pc and it can't install on the hardrive but a few days ago when I bought it, it worked perfectly fine and was downloading but stopped half way and shut off

You say “hard drive” is this a mechanical HDD or an SSD?  Is there any data you want to save on that drive?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
