Different model- RTX 3060 Ti- matters?

omkar2571

I am about to buy new GPU

I have specific budget for GPU and I found RTX 3060 ti.

(Any from ₹32000 -  ₹42000)

I can buy gigabyte rtx 3060 ti oc pro 8Gb -  42,000 Indian rupees ($523)

Or  I can buy gigabyte rtx 3060 ti eagle 8Gb - 32,000 Indian rupees ($400)

So my question is do I really need to spend extra for different model?

I really wanted to go for rtx 3070 least, but that's huge difference in price.

With a 650 bronze, I would say 3060/to is going to be the upper limit of reliable power delivery. With 3070/ti and a 650 bronze you may run into ocp/opp issues with transient spikes.

Unless all you are doing is extremely time sensitive renders or GPU workloads where nanoseconds count, it shouldn't really matter from one GPU to another from the same AIB and Chipset.

The more expansive one will probably run a bit faster, cooler and quiter. But thats not worth the huge price increase. I would just buy the cheaper one, or safe up for a 3070.
