So, after not receiving replies from the troubleshooting section i decided to post here

Recently I have been having issues with my internet and it happens on and off at different times of the day.

Namely, sometimes chrome refuses to load certain pages. Stuck during loading, won't even show the error message asking to refresh.
Then when I stop the page, the page can sometimes immediately appear.

However, when I do a speedtest, I can get my usual speeds of around 80Mbps Up/Down.
This happens on Lan and wireless as well.

The only reason I can think of is that my ISP is throttling my bandwidth / not supplying enough bandwidth to my area so it throttles during peak hour.
But sometimes this can happen in the middle of the night at 2am.

It also happens if only 1 pc is connected to my network and across multiple systems all experiencing the same issue. No background network stuff running like torrents etc.
This is most noticeable when using chrome to browse the web.

So is this to do with my ISP or possibly something else?

may be a malware...run malwarebytes...

Problem is, it occurs with different computers under the same network.

ie my PC, 2nd PC, multiple laptops.

EDIT: even occurs when only 1 computer is using the network

@Cubit481 i'm not sure if every system runs the same external IP.

If i'm not wrong you get a new ip every time you refresh connection to the network? It happens even right after connecting to the network at times.

What type of internet connection is it?
What ISP?
What OS on PC's?

How often do you reboot/restart your modem/router. I have never had one that doesn't benifit from being reboot/restart every month or so.
Have you tried updating firmware on modem/router?
I have had a similer issue, however it was my router, So i upgraded the firmware. But also do the same to your modem too, may as well.

1.Happens on wireless and lan

2. starhub (i'm from singapore)

3. Win7 / some win 8

4. Every couple days / a week it gets a restart

5. router is new, recently changed to 300Mbps speeds so they changed the router. (if its the router issue I likely can't solve it as my ISP locks the routers in certain ways. I'd have to bridge the connection.

@bbqsauce

Try a VPN and see if you get the same issues.

If you don't it's likely your ISP throttling

i'll give this a shot if i can.

I'm pretty sure its my ISP since I have noticed this issue at my own place and also at my GF's place.

We're both under the same ISP and using fibre as well.
