any good actually free data recovery program

I went out and recorded some cool videos on 2 gopros and while i was watching the 360 footage and editing it i told my brother to filter the hero 5 footage and then he deleted all the good videos I dont know why but i haven't used the sd card since so it hasn't been written but every program ive tried either cannot find the video (free search) or a deep search which does find it but wants to charge me like $70 to recover it. and there isn't even a way to tell if the videos actually work so im not gonna pay for it neither is the video worth $70 to me

I only ever used the free one and restored a bunch of files from SD cards and thumb drives.

Can't really help you further. I've only used it once, but it did successfully restore word file from corrupted USB stick.

turns out the folder became hidden (with all files visible) and permission to access it is denied but i can access the folders inside that folder so i could in the end access the lost videos! thank you!
