I have an Envinda X79-6M Motherboard (LGA 2011 - 0 ) and an Intel XEON E5-2690 CPU.
It looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/2tYkWXX

For the CPU Cooler, it comes with a plastic ring (looks a lot like AMD style) and four plastic screws.
They look like this: https://imgur.com/a/upF7tXK

I have a SYY 120MM CPU Cooling fan - ( S5-120-B - I bought it here: https://www.amazon.com/SYY-Heatpipes-Premium-Hydraulic-Bearing/dp/B098JHS395
The CPU cooler says it works with the LGA 2011 socket, but I see absolutely no way that this CPU Cooler will connect to the motherboard.

I have no idea what is going on here. What am I missing?
Do I need an AMD style CPU Cooler for this motherboard? If yes, what CPU Cooler will work with this motherboard?

I am really coming up empty in my searches.
Is there any way to use the SYY 120MM CPU Cooling fan - ( S5-120-B ) ?

Instead of the plastic tabs that go through the motherboard, the cooler comes with a backplate that the cooler will screw into.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Hi, thank you for responding!

I tried these pieces - they do not seem to work.

The plastic "tubes" there do not all fit (three do, but not all four).  I tried not using those, and there is a large gap between the screws on the bottom of the CPU Cooler Tower.

I really don't see how these pieces can connect together.  There is a video on the Amazon website, but I think it is using a LGA 1356 motherboard?  I really don't see how to do this with the LGA 2011 - 0

Are you able to upload a picture of which pieces you're trying? None of the mounting hardware looks plastic.

Basically, I have all of the above.

The motherboard came with the plastic "AMD" ring and four plastic screws.

The CPU Cooler came with all of the pieces shown in your picture.

Don't try to use the parts that came with the motherboard. Grab the stuff that's shown under the LGA 2011 part of that picture above. Big black piece goes behind the motherboard. It looks like the double ended screws with the hex in the middle (bottom 4 pieces) screw into the backplate, then the cooler goes on those and the thumb screws hold it down.

Being an aftermarket motherboard, I'm wondering if stock production Intel coolers or their accessories will even work with this board. I've seen that sort of thing on such proprietary machines as Lenovo and Dell.

There is a VIDEO on how to install this CPU cooler on different Intel / AMD sockets.

This How-to video is right IN the Amazon posting...watch that.

The cooler comes with mounting hardware for LGA 2011.

Use those, NOT the random AMD mounting bits that came thrown in with the motherboard.

I was thinking maybe the motherboard might not have been made for standard Intel bits, or those cooler bits might not have been made for that motherboard.

Yes, believe me, I have already watched the video several times.

I believe it shows an LGA 1356 motherboard?

That is not the motherboard I have, and there are no screw slots (they are simply empty holes).

This can be seen in the picture of the motherboard I attached.

Just to jump ahead a little bit -

My sense is that the plastic ring needs to be used (because there are no screw slots, just empty holes in the PCB)

I think this might work with something like a Snowman MX-2 CPU Cooler - (like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325179188765

But I don't think that exact Cooler can be used in this case because the wattage threshold is not high enough for the XEON E5-2690

I think this is the real problem - there are no screw slots on the PCB (they are just empty holes)

They do seem to fit the plastic "push screws" though and I think that can be used to attach the plastic ring.

I just don't know which CPU Cooler would work.  I understand this sounds stupid, but from what I can see it needs to be an AMD style Cooler like the Snowman MX-2 (but would need to be something else with a higher wattage rating).

I'm not sure what can be used instead of a Snowman MX-2

I'd rather do it the correct way...

If you wanna replace the cooler then thats your choice, youll likely see decent temps if you ziptie properly since mounting pressure is abysmal on those chinese plastic ring mounting coolers yet they still work just fine

The SYY CPU Cooler that I do have is huge and very heavy.

There is no way I am going to try zip ties

Can you confirm that the AM4 mounting hardware doesn't work?

If it actually came with plastic AM4 clips then... it probably uses AM4 mounting hardware. This isn't uncommon for salvage boards like this, they come with all sorts of odd quirks.

It's entirely possible that I misinterpreted/misread your topic and/or question. This happens more often than I care to admit. Apologies in advance.
