A buddy was telling me about a discontinued 360mm radiator he has with a D5 pump that is built into it such that he can skip a separate reservoir. I have yet to be able to find such a thing in my browsings and was hoping someone here might know what he is talking about. I dont necessarily need this particular piece as i have room that i could use a EKWB FLT 120 PWM D5 reservoir/pump combo; however if i could find a 480mm radiator that had a pump built in it would just make for a cleaner install as well as giving a little more cooling capacity.

anybody got leads?

I remember Swiftech offered these open-loop AIOs, where the pump (+ res?) was mounted to the bottom of the radiator.

If I recall, they used standard D5 / DDC pumps; however, they did not use standard compression fittings.

Not sure if your friend is referring to something like that?

EKwb do sell these...I guess, compact pump/reservoir units

sorry i didnt see this sooner. Yeah i looked at the EKWB pump/res combo units that bolt in where a fan should and to achieve roughly what i was hoping to do would have been like $650-700 and it would have been one small loop for just a gpu. I have really good cooling for my cpu and i dont want to fiddle with it if i dont have to, however my gpu gets a little warm and the fans on it whine at a really irritating pitch around 16000-16500hz so im hoping to find a way to cool it that simply doesnt have those fans involved. doing a custom loop is expensive but probably the best option which is why i was hoping to find a good pump/rad combo to make it all fit better and cleaner but i cant find anything reputable.

so far my options in the running are an alphacool eiswolf 2 which would work but it doesnt cool the back of the card at all which is definitely part of the heat issues and the other option which is a good bit cheaper is a custom shroud and fans. Found a guy on thingiverse who printed a full shroud for the card that replaces the stock 86mm-ish fans with noctua 92mm fans and would at least fix the whining and maybe cool a little better just due to airflow improvements but if im gonna mess with taking things apart i may as well look at doing the best option out of the gate. kinda just stuck debating my options as i dont have anyone local with a comparable rig to compare to.

custom loop pump in rads is rare and there mostly ddc and not d5. i no of one d5 rad but the rad suxs. you dont need a res you can make do with just a t line as long as there's water for the pump. i recommend a d5 because its quieter and last longer even if its cost more.

i would still do the cpu even if you buy a cheap block it will be worth it anyway imo

well you can try de shrouding it and use zip tiys to see if its good enough would be way cheaper. you can buy heat sinks to put on the back of the gpu but how well they work i dont no. posable to replace the pads too and repast but can help or not. undervolting can help too and fan profiles.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...

so i already have an ice giant thermosiphon which is absolutely kicking ass on my cpu so i have zero desire to mess with that success but i appreciate your opinion on that. turns out i already have some 92mm noctua fans in a mini-atx rig i built a long while back and the ability to 3d print so that is why that was appealing over the zip-tie method but i like the idea of extra heat sinks for the back. i have access to a mill so im gonna investigate just copying the backplate but in copper with tons of fins purely because i dont want to thermal epoxy heat sinks to my backplate even though its for sure cheaper. also good to know about the pump/rad combos i think i've kinda given up that route.

thanks for chiming in, i found those in an earlier search and my issues with them are three things.

1) only review i found said it was aluminum

2) not a D5

3) just an ali-express/wish.com part rebranded and marked up by another company

legit if i could find that in copper with a d5 i would buy it in a heartbeat as that form factor is exactly what i would like.

It's byksi, they make good stuff.

Y it's not perfect, but it's the only compact combo from a big water cooling company sold together.

I was unaware that Byksi had any other branding that they sold under. that definitely makes me feel a bit better about it. Went and did some browsing on their website to see that all they offered and i think they have the solution to my problems however its going to be a DDC pump instead of a D5.
