My Samsung 980pro has extremely low write and read speeds while in gen4 m.2 slot

So i had this problem for a while now and i cant seem to find a solution.
While plugged into the gen4 m.2 slot of my motherboad, my 980pro sometimes has extremely slow write and read speeds.

Sometimes it will operate at full speed, somteimes at half speed and then other times at extremely slow speeds like 30MB/s.

When i connect the drive to the gen3 slot on my motherboard it allways operates at round about 3500MB/s.

The speeds allways seem to change after a restart.
