New gpu killed my computer

Just got a 3070 evga ftw3 ultra, swapped out my old gpu for the new one, after switching on psu motherboard lights flashed for a second and pc wouldn’t turn on, took out the new gpu and pc wont boot at all, my pc worked fine yesterday

Specs: Cpu: R5 3600x
Mobo: gigabyte b550 auorus pro ac
Ram: g skill ripjaws 5 2x8 gb
Old gpu: msi 2060 ventus oc
Psu: corsair cx650 80+ bronze

I’ve had cpu, gpu, ram, and psu for a year and a half
I just got the mobo this year because my old one died

I’ve had terrible luck this year

you might have tripped the power supply overcurrent protection. have you tried unplugging the computer from power, leaving it for 10 minutes and then powering it on? without the new gpu installed ofc?

Moved to the Troubleshooting section.

 

With the RTX 3070 removed switch the power supply off and then on again at the switch on the back of the power supply, then try booting the system.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe.
