Mixer not having any sound output

Kanna

Heya, I got my hands on this old Mixer, like really old and I hooked it up and it powers on but I can't seem to get any output from it, it just is blank. And do note that I'm not anywhere close to good at this stuff, also I have a 12vDC cable instead of 18vDC, could that change anything?

What happens if you plug into the Main Mix Output instead of using Tape Out?

I would have to find cables then so hold off a bit

It looks like you have the cables already

Unless I'm assuming wrong... I thought those RCAs were plugged into your sound system.

EDIT: I'm dumb... those are unbalanced vs balanced.  Yes you need a cable. As you were... nothing to see here lol.

Manual says/shows tape out is connected to main mix out.

Do you get anything on the vu-meters? Or the channel's peak indicator it you overdrive it?

I read the manual and tried multiple ports, for my microphone, nothing on the VU meters or peak

What microphone is it?

And yes giving it 12V DC instead of the expected 18V AC could cause it not to work properly.

It's some unbranded mic that I know works, used it for some CD player before to hook up. Okay I will try to get my hands on a 18V AC, also that was a big mistake on me I thought it said DC on the mixer too, welp could that have fried it or something additionally
